Together, the five gardens contain 128 acres of green space. Those who experience the gardens leave with a new sense of discovery and wonder. We’re proud to host children, school groups, adults and families for interactive programs and events throughout the year.Fall Fest SFA Gardens is introducing a modified version of the Fabulous Fall Festival plant sale where up to six patrons can sign up to shop during a two-hour window. Learn more LUMBERJACK SPOTLIGHT It all began in 1985 with a single quarter-acre teaching garden. Established by Dr. David Creech, this small patch of land near the Agriculture Building originally served as a living classroom for SFA’s horticulture students. Since then, SFA Gardens has expanded to encompass 128 acres of native plants, trees, display gardens and educational facilities. Dr. Creech is Regent’s Professor and Professor Emeritus, and while he is semi-retired, he currently directs SFA Gardens.
